Severe Weather Provision

By law every local authority has to provide shelter during sever weather.

Locally that means opening up floor space in a local hostel such as Willow House, the Salvation Army hostel.

Rules around local connection do not apply.

In Reading during January and February St Mungos are able to direct homeless people to our “night shelter” B4N.   However we operate on a local connection basis so that St Mungos can work on housing our guests.  If we opened our doors wider we almost certainly would not have capacity, being limited by the size of buildings available.
