The John Sykes Foundation has donated a further grant to FAITH Christian Group to support the homeless community in Reading.
This donation will be used during the year to provide deodorants, underwear, socks, and other essential supplies, helping to ensure that those in need have access to basic hygiene products.
The request for support from Andy Dickens, Director at Faith Christian Group, will help the charity to partner with Cirdic, a drop-in-centre for the homeless and disadvantaged people in Reading, to increase their services from 3 to 5 days a week, all year round, at Berkeley Avenue in Reading. CIRDIC currently see between 80 to 100 users a day who visit the site for support.
Jessica Sykes, Trustee of the John Sykes Foundation, commented, “We believe in the importance of supporting our community and helping those who are most vulnerable. Access to basic hygiene products is a fundamental need that many of us unknowingly take for granted. This is our fifth donation to Faith Christian Group, and we hope to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those less fortunate, promoting dignity and well-being.”
