There are a number of hostels and housing providers in Reading, however there is no “Direct Access” provision as in a night shelter that is to say that there is nowhere that a person can go and stay overnight
we do run a temporary winter night shelter which operates in January and February each year in a rota of local churches
HOUSING PATHWAY
There are a number of accommodation providers that operate as part of Reading’s Housing Pathway scheme. A homeless person can engage with the council directly at the Civic Offices or through St Mungos
Willow House Hostel – not direct access, houses men and women on a medium term basis before move on accommodation can be found
Hamble Court (Bournemouth Churches Housing Association) – not direct access
Housing Project – not Direct Access
